2014 Oscar Fashions

The 2014 Oscars had some wonderful fashion moments from Lupita Nyong’o to Charlize Theron. They also had a couple of “what the hell were they thinking?” moments. Here are my best and worst dressed of last night’s Academy Awards.

BEST DRESSED

AMY ADAMS

Simple and just beautiful.

SANDRA BULLOCK

She’s wearing the same blue as Amy Adams but the dresses are completely different as well as the styling. This is Sandra Bullock’s best awards season look. She had been very hit or miss so I’m glad that she knocked it for the biggest of the award shows.

LUPITA NYONG’O

She looked so good last night. I wasn’t a fan of the headband but that was about it. I had to give you three views of the dress. I love blue so it’s not a shocker that my favorite dresses last night were some variation of my favorite color. Last night was her night and she delivered in every way possible beginning with this red carpet look.

CHARLIZE THERON

She can do no wrong in my book. She consistently knocks it out of the park except for that time where she had a beautiful metallic gold dress but got a really bad spray tan at the 2004 Oscars where she won for her role in Monster. Black is also one of my favorite colors.

2014 Golden Globes Fashion

The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards were tonight and the red carpet was on fire. It was hard to find some worst dressed looks because overall everyone was pretty well. Here are my best and worst looks of the night and some sprinkles of the in between.

Emmy Fashion 2013

Emmy fashion was a little underwhelming last night. I was a little disappointed with the fashion. Not much color and a lot of the dresses looked like stuff we have seen before. I need some people to change it up. I did find a couple that I did like so check them out in the gallery below.

Oscar Fashion 2013

The 85th Annual Academy Awards are finally over. One of the best things about the night is of course the FASHION. It is one of the biggest nights for fashion and the ladies did not disappoint. Check out the gallery for my best and worst of the night.

Charlize Theron Couldn’t decide best dressed so it is a 3 way tie for me between Charlize, Stacy and Naomi. Worst dress is most definitely Anne Hathaway.

Emmy Awards Fashion

The Emmy Awards were held last night and here are some of my best and worst dressed. I didn’t feel that there were many amazing dresses. Most of them were kind of mid line which made it difficult to pick the best and worst.

Best Dressed

Lucy Liu (Elementary)

I really liked this dress. Yes it kind of looked like chain mail but I really like the shape and color and the entire ensemble. She’s just so beautiful.

Tina Fey (30 Rock)

Tina looked really good. So glad that she chose a different color than her usual black. Hair and makeup are all great and I like that she didn’t have a necklace because the neckline of the dress is enough.

Best And Worst Fashion of The Academy Awards

There were some great looks on the carpet and some just meh looks. Not many outright bad dresses this year. It made it a little difficult to come up with a worst or best dressed.

Best

Glenn Close looked great yesterday. I think this is the best she has looked in a while. It’s just very age appropriate and fits her body very well. Her makeup and jewelry are great as well.

Best and Worst Looks of The Grammy Awards

Definitely slim pickings when it came to fashion at the Grammy Awards tonight. Here are the best and worst looks of the night.

Best Looks

Love her. I like the dress but the hair is awful. Like I said slim pickings.

This woman and do no wrong to me. Love her, love her. She looks great. Simple. Elegance

Kelly looks wonderful. Great dress and makeup. The back of her dress which can’t be seen in this pic makes her but look amazing. The dress just fit her really well.

I usually hate what she wears but she looked great here. Loved the cut outs on the side and yes she only put her hair up but its something different than her usual straight hair that is down.

She was my best dressed of the night. Some might not agree but she just owned that carpet when she walked on. Its a simple black Armani dress that she helped design with him. Love the shoes. Her makeup looks good too. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is the hair. She looks a little like Tina Turner/Angela Basset from What’s Love Got To Do With It?

Worst Dressed

Ughh

I just can’t with this outfit. Really? I love Robyn but man she needs to hire a stylist.

This dress would have been fine if she had something underneath. I don’t even understand what she was thinking with this. It makes no sense.

Nicki tried to show up Lady Gaga from last year’s show. She showed up with some guy dressed as a pope. I guess this wasn’t Nicki it was “Roman,” one of her other personalities.

Best and Worst Looks From The Screen Actors Guild Awards

The dresses at the SAGs weren’t as amazing or as the ones at the Globes but there were still a few standouts and even more disasters.

Best Dressed

Makeup, color of dress, hair is all perfection. She looks so flawless. Love it.

Emily Blunt (The Adjustment Bureau, The Devil Wears Prada)

This dress isn’t anything super amazing but I love the color on her and she was one of the better dressed at the show.

Love this look on her. The hair and makeup are great and she just looks beautiful. She has gotten it right all awards season and I can’t wait to see her looks at the next awards show.

Never thought I would say these words but she looks so great. This is the best I’ve ever seen her look. I love her hair and makeup. The beading on the dress is also really great. It’s simple yet fabulous.

Michelle Williams (My Week With Marilyn)

Simple red elegance.

Viola Davis (The Help, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close)

This woman has been killing me softly this entire awards season. Simply perfection here. I didn’t think she could get any better than 2 weeks ago at the Globes but here she does it again. Best dressed of the night for me.

Worst Dressed

Nothing needs to be said about these looks. Just look at the picture.

Shailene Woodley (The Descendants, The Secret Life of An American Teenager)

Ok so I’m gonna say something about this one. This looks so cheap and I bet it cost an arm and a leg. I mean what the hell was she thinking. Ughh and is that a wife beater?? WTH?

I just can’t with Lea Michele anymore. She just tries entirely too hard. Her look at the Globes was a mess and too sexy for a girl who can’t pull it off and this one is just the same. I just I can’t anymore with her.

This makes me sad because I love her but man is this dress ugly. Just really really ugly. Worst dressed of the night.
