The 2014 Oscar nominations were presented this morning (5:30PST is entirely too early, Who chose this time?) by Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth and new Academy president, Cheryl Boone Isaacs. Many of the nominations weren’t surprises, but some of the snubs were big ones (No love for the Coen Brothers, Tom Hanks, or Fruitvale Station but yay for Jonah Hill, Christian Bale and The Square). The most random nomination came from the Jackass movie, Bad Grandpa in the category of best makeup. Ok. Check out the full list of nominees after the jump.
The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards aired last night on NBC with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. I enjoyed last night’s show. Tina and Amy are just sooo good together and should host everything.
Some of the best moments came from unexpected places (Emma Thompson drunk and throwing her shoes on stage) or took place on Twitter (Mia and Ronan Farrow’s tweets on Woody Allen during his tribute). There were also some surprises in the awards winners like Brooklyn Nine-Nine winning best comedy (YAY!!!) to Jennifer Lawrence winning best supporting actress in a motion picture (Noooooo, I love Jennifer Lawerence but Lupita Nyong’o was robbed!!). The only other surprise for me was Amy Adams win in the best actress motion picture comedy musical category. I was sure Meryl Streep was going to take that. Here is the full list of winners as well as some of the bestmoments in Gif form across the interwebs.

The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards were tonight and the red carpet was on fire. It was hard to find some worst dressed looks because overall everyone was pretty well. Here are my best and worst looks of the night and some sprinkles of the in between.
Woooooooooooo!!!! New black female cast member. I checked out some of Youtube videos of her and she’s pretty funny. Hopefully SNL can write some good material for her.
The new year is upon us and with that comes the end of the winter hiatus of all your favorite shows as well as the premieres of some new ones. To keep track of all the premiere dates, I have put together a calendar of dates for the month of January and February.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! 2013 has been a huge, exciting year for me. There have been so many things that I never thought I would do and have gotten to know some pretty fantastic people. There was also some pretty wonderful television and film this year. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time out to read, comment, and share this blog. I have loved writing this and while the posts have been sparse (Sorry about that; work and school take up all the time), I appreciate you sticking with me. Many great things to come in 2014. I CANNOT WAIT!!!!
