Just saw the Season 3 Revenge promo trailer and it is EVERYTHING. Wooo I can’t wait. Check it out.
Hopefully this season does not go off the rails like Season 2 did at the beginning. Revenge premieres Sunday, September 29 @ 9/8c on ABC.

Extreme Weight Loss – ABC 8/7c. Season 3 premiere. The biggest loser but one on one. The show is exactly what the title says. One mentor goes to someone that is overweight and they work together for 90 days to loose a bunch of weight.
Family S.O.S With Jo Frost – TLC 9/8c. Series Premiere. Jo Frost, known as Supernanny, is back helping families that are in crisis and need help bringing harmony back to their homes. No longer just helping correct the “naughty toddler” phase, Jo sharing her respected advice as she helps families of all sizes and structures. From rebellious teenagers causing conflict to bullying at school to battling parents on the edge of divorce.
The Haves and the Have Nots – OWN 9/8c. Series Premiere. The show follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia. From the outside, the Cryer’s are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil, the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege.

Brooklyn D.A – CBS 10/9c. Docu-series Premiere. The show looks at the men and women in one of the largest district attorney’s offices in the country; Kings County District Attorney’s Office as they juggle more than 1,000 cases a week. These hard-charging prosecutors have larger-than-life personalities both inside the courtroom and out.
Happy Memorial Day!!!! Hope everyone is having an amazing day. With all the barbecues and poolside activity happening today, some might not be thinking about what’s on television tonight but a couple of premieres are happening tonight.
The Bachelorette – ABC 8/7c. Season 9 premiere. You all know the premise. One of the ladies that was dumped on The Bachelor gets chosen to be the new bachelorette. She then is given 25 suitors looking for “love” to choose from. I really don’t know why this show is still on. There have been maybe 3 relationships that have lasted out of all the seasons of the Bachelor and Bachelorette. It is a little fun to watch these people act ridiculous on television. Save Me – NBC 8/7c. Starring Anne Heche (Six Days, Seven Nights; Hung) as a woman who was quite a mess of a person but then has a near death experience and can now talk directly to God. She now spreads the word of God around to people but no one believes her because she was so horrible before.

Does Someone Have To Go? – FOX 9/8c – A reality series that gives employees a voice in assessing how their company is functioning, inviting them to make recommendations on how best to solve their issues in order to make their company better and giving them the power to determine the fates of their fellow staffers. But when the owners leave their companies in the hands of their employees, those workers quickly learn that solving personnel issues isn’t as easy as it looks.
Four Weddings – TLC 9/8c – Reality show where four brides with their own personal styles and traditions agree to attend and judge each other’s weddings on the basis of food, dress, venue, originality, and overall experience. The winning bride is awarded a five-star dream honeymoon.
Motives – ABC 9/8c – I talked about this show on in my last summer television post. I don’t get why they are calling this the premiere when it happened on Monday. Monday’s episode didn’t really get many viewers. I don’t think it’s going to make it through the summer.
Rookie Blue – ABC 10/9c. A group of young and ambitious rookie cops continue to navigate the emotional trials and tribulations of their professional and personal lives. After three years on the job, these rookies are well on their way to becoming experienced officers, but at what cost?

Most of your favorite shows are done for the season. Only a couple are airing their finales this week (Hawaii Five-O, Grimm, Dancing With The Stars, Modern Family, Nashville, etc). Summer TV begins this week. Some of it burnoffs that will never be heard again and others are great summer favorites that fill the void from fall television. Here is what’s on tonight.
Goodwin Games – FOX 8:30/7:30c. The show stars Scott Foley (Scandal, Felicity), Becki Newton (Ugly Betty), and T.J Miller (Chelsea Lately, Our Idiot Brother) as three estranged siblings who return home after the loss of their beloved father and unexpectedly find themselves poised to inherit more than $20 million only if they can adhere to their late father’s wishes.
Motives – ABC 10/9c. They keep saying on the promo that this starts on Thursday but they are airing the first episode today. Soo random. The show stars Kristin Lehman (The Killing, Judging Amy), Louis Ferreira (SGU Stargate Universe, Rookie Blue) and Lauren Holly (NCIS, Chicago Hope). The show is about two homicide detectives looking for clues that will lead them to a murderer. But the twist on the typical police procedural is they identify the killer and victim at the beginning of each episode. As the mystery unfolds, winding between revealing flashbacks and present time, viewers will navigate the twisted and complicated maze of each murder, solving the puzzle alongside the detectives and their team; piecing together more of the mysterious connections that drove the Killer to commit murder. I thought already did this show and it was called Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
I will have a full calendar of all the summer premiere dates later on this week. Until then happy Monday.
ABC had their upfront presentation this afternoon and unveiled their 2013-2014 schedule. The network did not have any freshman hits last year and hopes that with these 13 new series being picked up that changes. The new series that were picked up are Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, The Goldbergs, Trophy Wife, Lucky 7, Back In The Game, Super Fun Night, Mixology, Mind Games, Toy Story of Terror, The Quest, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland, Resurrection and Betrayal. I mentioned in my previous upfronts post that I had to play ABC exec for a class group project. We did ok. Out of the 13 shows that ABC picked up we got 6 correct but we were correct on all the cancellations so yay. Check out the new schedule below.

It’s that time of the year again. The upfronts here. It’s the time when all the broadcast networks are going to unveil their fall schedules. We usually have to wait until the day of each network’s upfront to find out for sure what has been cancelled or renewed but this year that news has been coming all week.
I always get really excited about upfronts but I’m especially excited for this year’s because one of my projects for grad school was to play ABC exec and put together an upfront for class (shoutout to my group members Emma, Debbie and Yijing). It was soo fun so I’m looking forward to seeing how accurate we were with what got cancelled and what was picked up. Here is the schedule for the broadcast networks to unveil their schedule.
NBC – Monday 5/13
Fox – Monday Afternoon 5/13
ABC – Tuesday 5/14
CBS – Wed 5/15
CW – Thursday 5/16
A lot of cancellations and pickups have already been announced. For those check out TVLine, The Wrap, Deadline, or Hollywood Reporter. I will post as each schedule becomes available. Stay tuned for updates.
Cancellations are afoot. The ax was dropped on 3 new shows Friday. CBS cancelled new comedy, Partners and ABC cancelled 666 Park Avenue and Last Resort.

Partners is the second show cancelled by CBS this season. They were the first network to cancel a show this fall with the critically and audience panned, Made In Jersey. Partners seemed like it would be ok. It was created by creators of Will & Grace and that show was good so I thought this one had potential. Plus Michael Urie was in it so I was up for it. The show premiered to 7 million and steadily went down from there. The post How I Met Your Mother spot seems to have bad luck for new comedies on CBS. The last 3 shows to premiere in that 8:30/7:30c timeslot (Mad Love, Accidentally On Purpose, Welcome To The Captain) have all been cancelled. CBS has taken Partners off the schedule and will more than likely dumb the rest of the episodes that have been produced on Saturday night.

666 Park Avenue just never took off at all. It premiered to 7 million viewers and hit a series low of under 4 million with the latest episode that aired last Sunday. I watched the premiere and it was ok. I wanted it to be better as it has a pretty great cast on the show, but it just didn’t and I have 5 aired episodes still unwatched on my dvr. Last Resort also got cancelled by ABC. The show was a critical favorite but suffered from low ratings. The show was good but I it just didn’t click with me. I tried to stick to the show but after 4 episodes I was pretty much done with it. Poor Andre Braugher though. He just can’t catch a break. His last show, Men of A Certain Age was cancelled by TNT last year because of low ratings. ABC will air the rest of 666 and Last Resort‘s 13 episodes.
