Extreme Weight Loss – ABC 8/7c. Season 3 premiere. The biggest loser but one on one. The show is exactly what the title says. One mentor goes to someone that is overweight and they work together for 90 days to loose a bunch of weight.

Family S.O.S With Jo Frost – TLC 9/8c. Series Premiere. Jo Frost, known  as Supernanny, is back helping families that are in crisis and need help bringing harmony back to their homes. No longer just helping correct the “naughty toddler” phase, Jo sharing her respected advice as she helps families of all sizes and structures. From rebellious teenagers causing conflict to bullying at school to battling parents on the edge of divorce.

The Haves and the Have Nots – OWN 9/8c. Series Premiere. The show follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia. From the outside, the Cryer’s are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil, the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege.

Brooklyn D.A – CBS 10/9c. Docu-series Premiere. The show looks at the men and women in one of the largest district attorney’s offices in the country; Kings County District Attorney’s Office as they juggle more than 1,000 cases a week. 45c4e-summer2btvHappy Memorial Day!!!! Hope everyone is having an amazing day. With all the barbecues and poolside activity happening today, some might not be thinking about what’s on television tonight but a couple of premieres are happening tonight.

The Bachelorette – ABC 8/7c. Season 9 premiere. You all know the premise. One of the ladies that was dumped on The Bachelor gets chosen to be the new bachelorette. She then is given 25 suitors looking for “love” to choose from. I really don’t know why this show is still on. There have been maybe 3 relationships that have lasted out of all the seasons of the Bachelor and Bachelorette. It is a little fun to watch these people act ridiculous on television. What To Watch: Sunday January 13

iwatch2muchhbo_showtime

Sundays just got even more jam packed with all of the Showtime and HBO’s mid-season lineup returning tonight.

Live From The Red Carpet (E!) – 5/4c Awards season is in high gear and I love a red carpet. E! happens to throw the best red carpet party with Ryan Seacrest and Giuliani Rancic. Tonight’s carpet is for the 70th annual Golden Globe awards.

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards (NBC) – 8/5p I love the Globes because they are always a nice booze filled party and not as stuffy as the Oscars. Everyone is sitting to dinner and by the end of it someone who is presenting or accepting an award is slurring their words in the funniest way. The awards usually hosted by Ricky Gervais are being turned over to funny ladies Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

Thanksgiving Marathons To Feast On

Thanksgiving. The time for family, food and endless amounts of television. I love Thanksgiving because as I come down from my food coma, I can unwind on the couch and watch any one of the zillion marathons that run that weekend. Here are some that might whet your appetite.

Awkward – MTV – Friday 9am – 10pm. MTV is going to run both seasons of this hilarious show.

James Bond Movie Marathon – Syfy – Midnight Thursday – 5:30am Saturday. They do this marathon every year and I always catch at least 3 Bond movies during this time. Love them.

Beverly Hills 90210 – SoapNet – Friday 8pm – 1am. This 5 hour marathon is going to focus on the roller coaster  that was  Kelly and Dylan’s relationship, starting with the episode where Kelly and Dylan hooked up while Brenda was away in Paris.

Friday Night Lights – ESPN Classic – Friday 1 – 11pm. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Anyone who reads even a bit of this blog knows I STAN HARD for this show. ESPN is airing Season 5, the last season, of the show. Clear Eyes. Full Hearts. Can’t Loose.

Castle – TNT – Thursday 10am – 11pm. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! TNT just started airing Castle in syndication and they are doing a nice marathon of season 2. This is a great opportunity to check out some of the early Caskett (Castle & Beckett) tension and what makes this show so much fun to watch.

Breaking Amish – TLC – Thursday 11am-9pm. Never watched this show but I heard it’s good so marathon here I come.

General Hospital – SoapNet – Thursday 7pm-12am. SoapNet is calling their 5 hour marathon “Quartermania.” They will be airing Thanksgiving episodes that center on those crazy Quartermaines. This will be a nice way to look back at the better years of the show.

Oprah’s Next Chapter – OWN – Sunday 2-10pm. Eight episodes of Next Chapter featuring Stephen Colbert (The Colbert Report), Kelsey Grammer (Boss), Usher, Fergie, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Hudson before the new episode with Justin Bieber at 9pm/8c.

The First 48 – A&E – Thursday 3pm – Friday 4am. If you really want to waste the day away put on an episode of this gem and you will never leave the couch. I always have to cautious with this show because before I know it I’ve been sucked in.

Law & Order: SVU – USA – Saturday 12pm – 2am. No weekend is complete without an SVU marathon.  They usually run this for a couple of hours on Sundays but this weekend they start a day early. Be sure to catch-all the old Benson and Stabler episodes.

Fringe – Science – Friday 9:30am – Saturday 3am; Saturday 10am – Sunday 3am. With this show ending its run on FOX this January, relive all the memorable moments from the beginning of the series. I am going to be all over this one.

For the full list of  marathons check out TVLine or Watching Way Too Much.

What To Watch: October 11 (Vampire Diaries, VP Debates, Totally Biased)

8/7c – CW – The Vampire Diaires – Season 4 Premiere. Tonight’s premiere kicks off immediately where Season 3 ended. Elena awakens on the morning after the accident to find the thing she dreaded most has come true – she died with vampire blood in her system and now must go through the terrible transition to become a vampire or face certain death. Stefan promises Elena that he and Bonnie will exhaust every possible way out of the situation, but Damon is furious with his brother for letting Elena die in the first place. Bonnie pays a terrible price for her attempt to change Elena’s fate, while Damon takes out his frustration and rage on Matt. In a rare moment of empathy, Rebekah is deeply touched by Stefan and Elena’s devotion to one another. Finally, Pastor Young and the Town Council members begin rounding up the vampires and their supporters, leading to an unexpected tragedy. I am soooooo ready for this return. This is one of my favorite shows and it has been gone for entirely too long.

9/8c – ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX – Vice Presidential Debate. Joe Biden and Paul Ryan go at each other tonight in the 2nd of 3 debates.

9/8c – CW – Beauty and The Beast – Series Premiere. Police officer Cat Chandler investigates a case that leads her to Vincent, a man guarding a secret; as Cat is drawn closer to Vincent, she must keep their relationship secret.

10/9c – FX – It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia – Season 8 Premiere. Dennis and Dee’s ailing grandfather Pop-Pop is wasting away in the hospital, and they have to decide whether to pull the plug. But things get complicated when The Gang learns of Pop-Pop’s history as a Nazi, and Mac, Charlie and Frank set off in search of the old man’s spoils from the war.

10/9c – TLC – Little Shop Of Gypsies – Series Premiere.  First seen on MY BIG FAT GYPSY WEDDING, British dressmaker Thelma Madine has taken gypsy and traveler women from maidenhood to matrimony with her over-the-top dresses and extravagant designs. As an ardent supporter of women’s rights, Thelma now wants to help unconventional gypsies – young women who would rather get hired than get hitched. Thelma begins to search for her 10 new trainees; once the girls are chosen, chaos ensues and Thelma must act fast before it all falls apart.

10:30/9:30c – FX – The League. Season 4 Premiere. The League prepares for the draft and the arrival of Kevin and Jenny’s baby boy. Taco’s business dealings with Jerry Jones get the guys invited to the Dallas Cowboys’ Training Camp.

What’s On Tonight: Friday Sept 16
