I love this color and I like this dress. It just looks really good on her and it’s not because her name is one letter off from to mine lol.
This look was styled by Brad Goreski, former assistant of Rachel Zoe and star of Bravo’s It’s A Brad Brad World. She looks so great. The color is great, the accessories are simple and work because the dress already has enough bling on it. Plus she looks amazing from just having a baby 6 months ago.
After what seemed like the longest 3 hours of my life, the Golden Globes are finally over. The event which was hosted by the hilarious (he wasn’t tonight) Ricky Gervais and the show was a true mixed bag of moments but overall it was pretty underwhelming. The awards that were handed out had some surprise wins like Kelsey Grammer winning the Best Actor Drama category or the fine fine Idris Elba winning the Best Actor TV movie/Miniseries category. Ricky Gervais Calls Out Johnny Depp.
This was pretty hilarious. Johnny Depp was presenting the first award and in introducing him Gervais continued his bit from last year about how terrible the movie The Tourist was by asking him if “He’d seen The Tourist himself?” Depp admitted that he hadn’t which Ricky used as confirmation that the movie was awful.
Jimmy Fallon Doing His Own Moves Like Jagger
Jimmy Fallon making fun of Adam Levin and his band Maroon 5’s hit Moves Like Jagger. He then proceeded to try to show Adam his own Jagger moves. It was pretty hilarious.
Michelle Williams Gives A Really Sweet Speech After Her Win For Best Actress in A Comedy/Musical
“I consider myself a mother first and an actress second. So the person I most want to thank is my daughter, my little girl, whose bravery and exuberance is the example that I take with me in my work and in my life,” said Michelle Williams as she accepted her award for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for My Week With Marilyn. She dedicated the award to her daughter and thanked many people including her BFF, Busy Phillips (Cougar Town). I love the Dawson’s Creek love and that they have been friends for so long. I also love that I got to see Phillips since ABC decided to not have my show Cougar Town on the air right now. Here is the speech in its entirety.

Modern Family finally won the award for best comedy after 2 years of losing to Glee. The entire cast made their way on stage and Vergara and creator Steve Levitan decides that since they are an international show they should do their speech in two languages.
Elton John’s Sourpuss Face When Madonna Won For Best Original Song
There is definitely no love lost between Elton John and Madonna. They have been feuding ever since Madonna won an award for best live act and Elton responded with “Madonna, best f–king live act? F–k off!” Elton was already in a fighting mood during the red carpet show with Carson Daly when he said that Madonna had no chance of winning the award that night. Madonna responded with “may the best man win”
Elton’s husband, David Furnish, was rather pissed after the loss and went off on his Facebook page saying, “Madonna. Best song???? F–k off!!! Thank you for all your comments and support. Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism. And her criticism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is.”
Furnish’s reference to Lady Gaga, godmother to their child, is from a jab Madonna made at her in an interview with ABC News this past week where she implied that Gaga ripped off her work.
I see why they hate Madonna because she is such a rhymes with itch. But they come off looking like such sore losers in this whole thing.
That’s about it. There was a great moment with Meryl Streep when she went up to accept her award for Best Actress in a Drama for The Iron Lady but all moments with Meryl are wonderful so I didn’t put that up here. LOVE AWARDS SEASON!!!!!! Things definitely kicked into gear with the announcing of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and Golden Globe awards last week. SAGs were announced on Wednesday with The Help leading the way in the film category with 4 nominations. Viola Davis is nominated in the lead actress category for her turn as Aibileen Clark in the movie while Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer got supporting actress nominations for their respective roles. The cast of The Help is also nominated for motion picture ensemble. Yay for Melissa McCarthy picking up a nomination for her role in Bridesmaids. Modern Family leads the television pack with 5 nominations. Dexter, which is having its worst season to date, and 30 Rock are both next with 3 nominations. The Golden Globes also announced its nominations last week. On this list however, The Artist leads with 6 nominations with The Descendants and the The Help trailing with 5 nominations. Ricky Gervais will help bring in the night as host for the third time. I can’t wait to see all the people that he skewers at the show. My goal is to watch all nominated movies by the time the Oscars roll around. The SAG awards will air January 29th, 2012 on TNT and the Globes air January 15th, 2012 on NBC. The American Music Awards aired last night on ABC and it was a performance heavy show with few awards given. This is what all award shows should do. give out a few awards but let it be mostly performances and montages for the rest of the show to keep the fast pace going. Nicki Minaj opened the show with David Guetta singing their song, “Turn Me On.” Nicki did a lot of singing. There is like one line of rapping in this song and its terrible. Why is Nicki singing? Her voice was ok I guess for a rapper but I need these rappers to stop singing if they ey are not singers. She then transition into her hit song “Super Bass.”
That performance was a little better but nothing to scream about. Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez apparently are huge favs of hers and have become besties. The camera kept panning to them rapping and jamming. Ugh. Her performance outfit was ok too. I don’t understand the speakers (I think they are speakers) on the outfit but whatever.
Some awards were presented. Taylor Swift won favorite country female artist. I call B.S on that one. Miranda Lambert has been slaying all flipping year. She should have taken that award. I hate that the AMAs have now become like the VMAs in that they are voted on by 13 year olds.
I can’t stand this girl and I don’t know why. I think it might be just all her cutesy stuff. I just don’t think she’s sincere at all. She had a cute dress. Very typical of the way she dresses but man that hair is awful. You have hair and makeup artists please get them to do something to your hair. Continue reading American Music Awards
The 63rd annual Emmy awards took place last night and what an awards show. It had a little something for everyone, from musical numbers, ok fashion, funny bits, some usual suspects winning and a couple of great surprises. More details inside.
The fashion at the 63rd annual Emmy Awards had everyone seeing red. That was the color of the night. From Giuliana Rancic, Adrienne Palecki and Kerry Washington, there was so much red on the carpet sometimes u couldn’t tell the carpet from the dresses.
The 63rd Annual Emmy awards air tonight on FOX and if you know me, you know I love award shows.I especially love the Emmys because they are all about television and fashion, but they also signify the official beginning of the fall tv season.So many of my people and shows got nominated finally (Friday Night Lights, Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler for Friday Night Lights, Timothy Olyphant for Justified) and so I’m excited to see if they win or if the academy decides to just give it to the same ol’ people (I’m looking at you John Hamm).Tune in to the show tonight at 8/7c on FOX. Let me just start by saying that this year’s VMA’s were definitely better than last year’s, very disjointed but better. I love Chelsea Handler but she wasn’t a good host. They should have just gone ahead and made Kevin Hart the host. I mean BET and MTV are under the same company so they should just make him the host of both the BET and MTV awards.
The pre-show was just a hot mess of no names (Who the hell is Tyler The Creator) and ridiculousness (Amber Rose, Nicki Minaj) we’re not even going to dwell on. I will say that Beyonce announced her pregnancy at the pre-show and MTV didn’t even show it. They were too busy with Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber talking about his pet Johnson (Ughh).
