Watch: ‘True Blood’ Final Season Trailer Warns ‘There’s No One Left’
AHHHH Final season. Even though this show went off the rails several seasons ago, I’m still super sad that this is the final season of this show.
Summer 2013: When Do My Shows Premiere??
Summer TV officially begins this month and there is a ton to watch. There is a little something for everyone from True Blood and Ice Road Truckers to Pretty Little Liars and Hollywood Game Night. June alone has the premieres of over 75 series and specials. Get that DVR ready since you will be out of the house enjoying the wonderful sunny weather. Check out the calendar that has every premiere date that you will need from June to September.
Feeling Very Uninspired
The summer season has been in full swing and I have just been generally uninspired by anything that is on now. Not that it isn’t good but it just hasn’t been great. On top of that there haven’t been any new movies in the past 2 weeks for me. I am also in the middle of packing and trying to get things finished at work before my move so it’s been a little crazy. I say all this to tell you that I’m sorry my brain is empty and that I have no posts 🙂
While summer is usually a wasteland of really bad reality television there are some good shows on now.To name a few there is the entire USA lineup [Necessary Roughness (Wednesdays 9/8c), Burn Notice (Thursday 9/8c), Covert Affairs (Tuesday 10/9c), White Collar (Tuesday 9/8c), Royal Pains (Wednesday 10/9c), Suits (Thursday 10/9c), Common Law (Friday 10/9c), Political Animals (Premieres July 15th @10/9c)], TNT’s lineup [Rizzoli & Isles (Tuesday 10/9c), Perception (Monday 10/9c), Franklin & Bash (Tuesday 9/8c), Dallas (Wednesday 10/9c), & Major Crimes (Premieres August 13th @ 10/9c)], Awkward (MTV,Thursday 10/9c), True Blood (HBO, Sunday 9/8c), and Newsroom(Sunday 10/9c). So those weren’t a few but you get my drift. Check out some of these shows and I hope you are enjoying the nice schizophrenic summer weather we are having. True Blood Season 5 Premiere Postmortem ***Spoilers***
True Blood’s Season 5 premiered last Sunday and it did not disappoint. It picked up from where it left off last season with Tara’s brains on the floor, Debbie dead, and Bill and Eric killing Nan. There were so many crazy things in this episode that in hindsight are just a normal day in Bon Temps but as I was watching all I could say was wow. The scene with Eric and his “sister” was so ridiculous. I was like wasn’t just pinning over Sookie like 3 scenes ago and what is it with Jason Stackhouse that everyone is so in love with? He has to be the dumbest character on the show. It’s like he walks in the room and chicks start taking their clothes off. It’s quite hilarious.
I know a lot of people hate Tara but I like her. When I saw them shoot her last season, I just thought Rutina Wesley was done on the show. I didn’t think they would be bringing her back because I mean literally her brains were all over Sookie’s kitchen. I didn’t think that she could be made into a vampire. It’s predictable but I just didn’t see it happening. Now that it has and her maker is Pam, I am looking forward to Rutina Wesley and Kristin Bauer working together. I think this will give Tara a lot to work with and make her not so much of a victim. It might also lighten her up a bit because Pam is funny as hell. I think Lafayette and her have the funniest lines. It’s gonna be a crazy season with the Authority, Russell escaping and Terry’s craziness coming to the forefront. I can’t wait.
Best line from the premiere. When Sookie questions Pam’s team spirit in helping them turn Tara, she replies, “I am wearing a Wal-Mart sweatsuit for y’all. If that’s not a demonstration of team spirit, I don’t know what is.”

This trailer looks so good. Tobey McGuire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton and Leonardo DiCaprio all in one movie, yes please. The movie is directed by Baz Luhrmann, who did one of my favorite Nicole Kidman movies, Moulin Rouge. It is based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald book most of us had to read in middle school or high school about “writer Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy (Carey Mulligan) and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton). True Blood
Yesss my show is back. Season 4 was crazy and Season 5 looks even crazier. They had already released a trailer but that one was more of a teaser. This one finally shows who new cast member, Christopher Meloni (Stabler, Law & Order: SVU), will be playing. Last season ended with a blood bath. Jesus, Tara, Debbie, Marnie, Tommy, Nan and more were all taken out. Russell is going to be back (Yay love him). The new season is only 2 weeks away. It premieres June 10 at 9/8c.
Skyfall
Love Bond movies. All this trailer. It’s all fluff. Lots of things exploding and plenty of action scenes, plus it’s got the hot hot Daniel Craig in it. I will always watch Bond movies because I have watched them since I was a kid so they always have a special place in my heart. Skyfall hits theaters November 9, 2012.
Anchorman 2
Anchorman has to be one of Will Ferrell’s funniest movies and when I saw they were doing a sequel. I thought yes but ughh a sequel. After watching this teaser trailer, I can say that all my doubts have been removed. It was too funny. The movie hasn’t started shooting yet but it has a release date of sometime in 2013.
Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
This movie is produced by Tim Burton and I like him so I will most definitely be seeing this movie. It is based on the Seth Grahame-Smith novel by the same name about Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, who discovers vampires are planning to take over the United States. He then makes it his mission to end them. This trailer is the new red band trailer with lots of blood, gore and killing. The movie hits theaters June 22,2012.

Tom Cruise in the musical Rock of Ages
The movie has a whole hell of a lot of people in it from Mary J Blige, Julianne Hough, Alec Baldwin to Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti and Malin Akerman. Its just looks like a huge disaster and I’m not sure how this is going to pan out especially with Julianne Hough in the mix. She’s just such a bad actress. See for yourself.
Rock of Ages opens June 15, 2012.
True Blood Teaser Clip
The residents of Bon Temps will be returning this summer and in order to whet your appetites before the premiere, HBO sent out this teaser clip. It looks even crazier than last season’s and last season was nuts. Hopefully it be a great one since it’ll be Alan Ball’s last one as showrunner.
