Why are they trying to bring back this show? The first season was good, the second not so much. Why do we need a 3rd?

What To Watch: November 2

8/7c – ABC – Last Man Standing – Season 2 Premiere. Mike does all he can to persuade first-time voter Mandy to vote for Governor Romney in the upcoming presidential election. But when he lobbies her heavily, he finds himself going up against her older sister, Kristin, and Boyd’s father, Ryan, who are just as enthusiastic for President Obama and disagree with Mike’s trying to influence Mandy. While they all battle for Mandy’s vote and soul, Vanessa remains neutral in the interest of family harmony.

8/7c – CBS – Undercover Boss – Season 4 Premiere. Mitchell B. Modell, CEO of Modell’s Sporting Goods, gets some major league advice from New York Yankee’s pitcher CC Sabathia before beginning his undercover mission. Also, a discontent employee confronts the CEO when suspicions swell about his true identity, and shocking news from the boss causes one employee to collapse.

8:30/7:30c – ABC – Malibu Country – Series Premiere. Reba McKenzie very publicly discovers that her country music legend husband, Bobby Gallagher, has been cheating on her. Determined to get a fresh start and perhaps revive her own country music career, Reba packs up her sharp-tongued mother and two kids and drives cross country to live in Bobby’s Malibu beach-front party pad. Once there, gregarious and over-sharing neighbor Kim immediately reaches out with an offer to mentor Reba as she adjusts to Southern California. With a new home and a much more liberal west coast set of rules, Reba, her kids and mom welcome the change, but soon realize that the open-mindedness of Southern California goes much farther than they’d expected. When Reba finds that trying to get her foot back in the music business is going to be an uphill battle, she befriends Geoffrey, the assistant to her record label’s president — who never seems to be in the office. Though overwhelmed and feeling out of place, Reba realizes that, all in all, family is what matters most, and they must learn to view their new Malibu lifestyle as a chance for a new beginning.

What To Watch: October 25

10/9c – Lifetime – Project Runway:All Stars. Season 2 Premiere. I get why the first Project Runway: All Stars happened. It was so they could remedy the mess they made in giving Gretchen the win over Mondo in Season 8. Mondo won that season. Now they have a season 2. I don’t know why. There isn’t anyone that I can think of that was wronged in any other season who would need to come back with something to prove. At this point Project Runway is looking a little like another fashion show, America’s Next Top Model, that has overstayed its welcome. This season has Wendy Pepper (Season 1), Andrae Gonzalo (Season 2), Kayne Gillaspie (Season 3), Uli Herzner (Season 3), Suede Baum (Season 5), Althea Harper (Season 6), Emilio Sosa (Season 7), Peach Carr (Season 8), Ivy Higa (Season 8), Casanova (Season 8), Anthony Ryan Auld (Season 9), Laura Kathleen Planck (Season 9), Joshua McKinley (Season 9) returning to the competition.

What To Watch: October 23
Tonight brings about the premieres of two of my favorite comedies on television: Happy Endings and Don’t Trust The B* In Apartment 23.

9/8c – ABC – Happy Endings. Season 3 Premiere. Dave and Alex start dating again, telling everyone they’re keeping it “cazsh.” When an unfortunate accident lands Penny in a full body cast, Max nurses her back to health. But after he meets her hot physical therapist, he starts “misery-ing” her so her fast recovery won’t put the brakes on his new crush; and Brad has a secret about his new unemployed status that he’s trying to keep from Jane. Jessica Shaw from Entertainment Weekly put it best when she said, “There are two types of people in this world: (a) those who have seen HAPPY ENDINGS and love it and (b) those who have never heard of HAPPY ENDINGS. Because to watch this show and dislike it is unfathomable. It’d be like hating puppies — sexy, sardonic, filthy-mouthed puppies.” Well said Jessica, well said. It’s the truth. No one I have turned on this show has ever regretted it. Season 1 was great, season 2 was even better and I’ll bet this season will be just as good and hopefully better.

9:30/8:30c – ABC – Don’t Trust The B* In Apartment 23. Season 2 Premiere. James goes against Chloe’s advice, succumbing to June’s urging and attempting the unimaginable – dare we dream? — a Dawson’s Creek reunion! Along the way, he makes some shocking discoveries, veers slightly off course and encounters some stars of television past. I didn’t think this show was that great in the beginning, but it got pretty hilarious as the season went on. It’s not as good as Happy Endings but it’s its own show and the cast is very funny.
Iron Man 3: First Official Trailer

The marketing campaign has officially started for next summer’s blockbuster movie Iron Man 3. Many people didn’t care for Iron Man 2 but I definitely liked it — not better than the first one — and I’m looking definitely looking forward to the third one after seeing the new trailer. I’m a big Guy Pierce and Ben Kingsley fan so to see them featured so prominently in the trailer is great. It’s going to be so awesome. Check it out. Iron Man 3 hits theaters May 3rd, 2013.

The format for the debate will be identical to the first presidential debate and will focus on foreign policy.
9/8c – LOGO – RuPaul’s Drag Race – All Star Edition. Join RuPaul as he welcomes back the most celebrated queens of the past for the wildest, most jaw-dropping, and outrageous Drag Race yet. Another One Bites The Dust: NBC’s Animal Practice Cancelled

NBC just cancelled its new series Animal Practice after airing 5 episodes. The show started off with a healthy 12 million viewers but has consistently dropped every week to this week’s airing yielding its lowest ratings of 3.8 million viewers. The show will continue to air until November 7 and Whitney will premiere its 2nd season in its place. There are sure to be many more cancellations coming as no one is watching many of these new shows.
