Most of your favorite shows are done for the season. Only a couple are airing their finales this week (Hawaii Five-O, Grimm, Dancing With The Stars, Modern Family, Nashville, etc). Summer TV begins this week. Some of it burnoffs that will never be heard again and others are great summer favorites that fill the void from fall television. Here is what’s on tonight.
Goodwin Games – FOX 8:30/7:30c. The show stars Scott Foley (Scandal, Felicity), Becki Newton (Ugly Betty), and T.J Miller (Chelsea Lately, Our Idiot Brother) as three estranged siblings who return home after the loss of their beloved father and unexpectedly find themselves poised to inherit more than $20 million only if they can adhere to their late father’s wishes.
Motives – ABC 10/9c. They keep saying on the promo that this starts on Thursday but they are airing the first episode today. Soo random. The show stars Kristin Lehman (The Killing, Judging Amy), Louis Ferreira (SGU Stargate Universe, Rookie Blue) and Lauren Holly (NCIS, Chicago Hope). The show is about two homicide detectives looking for clues that will lead them to a murderer. But the twist on the typical police procedural is they identify the killer and victim at the beginning of each episode. As the mystery unfolds, winding between revealing flashbacks and present time, viewers will navigate the twisted and complicated maze of each murder, solving the puzzle alongside the detectives and their team; piecing together more of the mysterious connections that drove the Killer to commit murder. I thought already did this show and it was called Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
I will have a full calendar of all the summer premiere dates later on this week. Until then happy Monday.
Dancing With The Stars – ABC 9/8c – Season 14 finale. Who will win the mirror ball trophy? Will it be the washed up NFL player Donald Driver? The opera singer from across the pond, Katherine Jenkins? Or the Latin playboy William Levy? Gladys Knight and Kelly Clarkson perform.
Suburgatory – ABC 8:30/7:30c – Season 1 finale. Tessa feels left out when the town celebrates the mothers in the community. Dalia takes off for a trip to Israel leaving Dallas all alone. Meanwhile, an endangered-animal theme at the Lerners’ baby shower draws a not so good reaction from Eden; and Fred surprises Sheila with one of her favorite performers. I love this show and I’m glad its coming back for a second season. It’s so funny. Jeremy Sisto is so great. He always takes me back to his Clueless days as Elton.
Interior Therapy With Jeff Lewis – BRAVO 9/8c – Season 1 finale. Jeff and Jenni find that comedian Mark Decarlo has bad taste. Jeff finally meets his match tonight. It’s gonna be two Jeff’s going at each other. This show is actually pretty good. I like his design stuff and the couples and families whose homes they fix up are pretty messed up in some form or fashion. It’s stuff.
Bones – FOX 8/7c – Season 7 finale. The “hacktivist” is back in court on appeal, and Booth and Brennan have to work to prove he is guilty once and for all but in their effort to pin another murder on him evidence comes to light that points to Brennan being a suspect.
Gossip Girl – CW 8/7c – Season 5 finale. Blair is targeted by Gossip Girl, forcing Serena to make a confession; Nate asks Lola to move in with him; Lily makes a decision about her marriage; Blair makes a choice between Dan and Chuck.
Hart Of Dixie – CW 9/8c – Season 1 finale. A huge storm is coming towards Bluebell and looks to ruin George and Lemon’s wedding day. Zoe seeking shelter from the storm gets stuck in a barn with Wade. Yes maybe these two will finally get together tonight. And we’ll have all of next season for more back and forth with them because CW renewed it for a second season. YAY!!!

Survivor: One World – CBS 8/7c – 2 hour season finale. The first ever all female final five battle for the Survivor crown. Someone breaks down and there are plenty of tears. A reunion follows the crowning of the winner.
Desperate Housewives – ABC 9/8c – 2 hour Series finale. Eight seasons and countless deaths, divorces, affairs and secrets and the end has come for our ladies in Wisteria Lane. I watched maybe 3 out of 8 seasons of this show. It was good at one point and then just got ridiculous. It was a good run. Many shows are barely trying to survive a season let alone run for 8 years. On tonight’s finale, Trip pleads with Bree to tell him about the night of Alejandro’s murder; Gaby tries to find a way to save Bree; Susan tries to keep the sale of her house private until she can tell her friends; Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany) returns with a job opportunity for Lynette; the women agree to take care of Mrs. McCluskey when they learn she wants to die at home; and Renee discovers that Ben has been thrown in jail.
The Finder – FOX 8/7c – Season 1 finale This show is a goner. I don’t know anyone that watched this show. I like Michael Clark Duncan and I wanted this show to be good but it just isn’t. On tonight series finale, Walter’s dad is dying and his older brother asks him to visit. As his final wish, his father wants Walter to find their mother. Uncle Shardrick continues to force marriage on Timo and Willa.

CSI:NY – CBS 9/8c – Season/Series finale. Ratings for this show have been going down and this may be the possible end if CBS decides to cut this loose. On tonight’s finale, Mac is shot and has to fight for his life while the team goes after the shooter.
The Big Bang Theory – CBS 8/7c – Season 5 finale. The gang rushes to put a wedding together when Howard and Bernadette decide they want to be married before he goes on his NASA launch. We also get to see Howard’s reaction to learning Leonard proposed to Penny.

Parks and Recreation – NBC 9:30/8:30c – Season 4 finale. Everyone is waiting for the election results. Paul Rudd continues his guest role as Bobby Newport.
