The Golden Globes aired tonight on NBC and were hosted by The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon. The big winner of the night was La La Land which walked away with a record 7 trophies which included Best Screenplay and Best Picture Comedy or Musical. In the TV categories, AMC’s The Night Manager surprising took the most awards (3) which included Best Limited Series or TV Movie. Atlanta and The Crown also took away big awards.

Another Primetime Emmy telecast is in the books and the ceremony was definitely one of the funnier ones in recent history. Jimmy Kimmel (Jimmy Kimmel Live) did not come to play as he delivered – and landed – jokes on the many topics affecting the world (Donald Trump) and the industry as a whole (Inclusion, Diversity, etc).
The big winner of the night was FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story which led the night with five wins. Stars Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark) , Sterling K. Brown (Christopher Darden) and Courtney B. Vance (Johnny Cochran) all took home awards for the series. HBO’s Game of Thrones followed with three wins which included the biggest win that came for Best Drama Series.
On the network side, FX gave HBO a run for its money and tied with the usual pack leader for 6 Emmys. Netflix was third with three for the night

Another San Diego Comic-Con came to an end this Sunday and it came with so much TV news and trailers. It seemed like TV was really the star of the con and for the first time overtook film at the big event. There were first looks at highly anticipated new series, teasers for upcoming seasons and news on some of our favorite long running series. Take a look at all the trailers and enjoy.
Legion – FX
FX’s series Legion is a new X-Men series from Marvel that had its coming out party at Comic-Com this weekend with the release of its first trailer. The series is an origin story of David Haller, who comic book fans know as the mutant Legion. The series will premiere some time in 2017.
Archer has been renewed for three more seasons, FX announced today. That will bring the animated spy now P.I. series to 10 seasons by around 2019.

Happy Holidays everyone. It’s the time of year when families have holiday decorations out and the temperature drops a little too much for my liking. It’s also the time of year when there is nothing on TV and all your favorite shows take a winter hiatus (Perfect time to catch up on stuff you haven’t seen). On the bright side, many shows are returning from hiatus or premiering as early as the first day of the new year. With that being said, I have put together a nice little guide to all the return and premiere dates of your favorite shows and soon to be favorites. 2015 Midseason TV Premieres Dates For New And Returning Shows
The holidays are here and all your shows are in reruns or got cancelled (I’ll miss you Emily Owens, M.D). I know you are pretty anxious for their return. Don’t fret, you can find the dates of every single show’s return date as well as new shows that will be premiering this Winter at the bottom of this post. Shows return as early today, the 1st of the year. Here are some the returning and new shows I’m looking forward to.
The Americans (FX) Series premiere January 21 @ 10/9c.
Keri Russell back on television?? YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! And playing a bad ass?? Double YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! FX has stepped up their game when it comes to their programming (Sons of Anarchy, Justified, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia,etc) and this show looks like it will be no exception. This show set in the Cold World era stars Keri Russell (Felicity, Mission Impossible 3) and Matthew Rhys (Brothers & Sisters, The Edge of Love) as KGB officers, who are working as sleeper agents trained to impersonate American citizens in Washington D.C. This is going to be great. Hopefully this show will do well and keep Russell on TV where she belongs.
The Good Wife (CBS) Season 4 resumes January 6th @ 10/9c
Season 4 hasn’t been the best but it’s still been better than half the shows on television. This season we are in the middle of has been very hit and miss, mostly because everything is not in sync. The storyline with Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) and her husband, played by Marc Warren (Doctor Who, Mad Dogs) is one of the biggest missteps that has happened to this show. The show creators, Robert and Michelle King, told TV Guide recently, they are going to fix things. They stated:
“You don’t give James Bond a girlfriend. Some characters you actually don’t want to see that much backstory. We’re adjusting. No matter where we went, this was not a place where the audience wanted to go.”
Hopefully the ship gets righted with the rest of the season. Check out the promo for the next new episode, “Boom De Ya Da.”
